If your hair is fine or thin, it’s best to avoid using any heavy conditioners. The heaviness caused by styling products can make your hair look thinner and less attractive. Mousse-type conditioners as well as leave-in conditioners work well with adding volume without appearing greasy or heavy on your hair’s shaft.

Your hair may look better though by getting a trim to get rid of split ends.

 

You can damage hair by blow-drying it. Try using the cool setting and moving it around constantly to avoid keeping it over one spot too long. While you are drying your hair, untangle any knots using your fingers.

It is extremely important that your hair stays moisturized so it won’t become brittle and dry, which can cause your hair to break. Using the correct temperature of water when you shampoo is important. After shampooing, rinse with cold water. The cool water helps by sealing moisture in the hair shaft.
